Treasurer
Volunteer Role - Beaverdale Fall Festival - Board of Directors - Executive Team
The Treasurer oversees the financial health and stability of the Beaverdale Fall Festival, ensuring responsible fiscal management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight:
Oversee all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
Monitor financial performance and help maintain financial sustainability.
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Fundraising & Development:
Oversee sponsorship and grant initiatives.
Contribute to fundraising efforts and donor cultivation.
Board Support:
Provide financial reports and analysis to the Board of Directors.
Advise the Board on financial matters and make financial recommendations.
Actively participate in Board meetings and contribute to effective governance.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
Passion for the Beaverdale Community.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable using online technologies, including Google Drive/Gmail.
Time Commitment
3-year term
Regular Board and Executive Team meetings and additional time for various duties.
A larger time commitment in the months around the Festival (July through Mid October)
Availability on-site during the festival, including setup and tear-down (Thursday-Sunday).
Expectations
All board members are expected to follow the festival's Board Member Code of Conduct and By-Laws.
