With over three decades of tradition coursing through our festival and a neighborhood that has been around for over 100 years, we are proud of what our neighborhood has and will continue to accomplish for our community. The Beaverdale Fall Festival represents a sentiment forged through support, loyalty, determination, brilliant and caring minds, and the tenacity necessary to forge ahead today and into the future. We are a true community celebration, steeped in tradition, riddled with charm, and defined by offering an amazing experience for all ages.

A Bit Of History

More than 40 years ago, merchants in the Beaverdale area first began the annual fall tradition now known as the Beaverdale Fall Festival.  Sidewalk sales, carnival rides, music, beer tents and a parade were centered around an Octoberfest theme and were known as Beaverdale Days.  Cold weather eventually caused the event to be moved into September, and the name was changed to the Beaverdale Fall Festival. In the meantime, Holy Trinity Church had been hosting an annual event each September featuring a raffle, carnival rides, food, talent show, beer tent and a road run.  During the late 1970s, the Beaverdale merchants and Holy Trinity decided to combine their efforts, leading to an expanded, single weekend of neighborhood fun.  From there, the parade became a joint effort of the two groups and served as a rallying point, as they began to unify their resources, advertising and planning efforts into what the Beaverdale Fall Festival is today.

Everyone at the Beaverdale Fall Festival is driven by the goal to nurture a culture dedicated to community and providing a wholesome celebration. We value the good old days and how that sentiment can connect family, friends and strangers in a powerful way. Our volunteers and board members appreciate what it takes to ensure everyone involved is respected and recognized as an essential element to our success. We will find every opportunity to help each other grow as part of a team dedicated to supporting the organization and community we call home.
